Wolfgang's Vault がユニバーサル・ミュージックと提携

●主に70～80年代のフィルモア他でのライブ音源のストリーム、ダウンロードで楽しませてくれる Wolfgang’s Vault がユニバーサル・ミュージック・グループと提携契約を結んだそうです。

　契約締結についての Wolfgang’s Vault 側のアナウンスメントによると、we expect to make many more recordings by great UMG artists from the Bill Graham, King Biscuit and other catalogs available for download （ビル・グレアム、キング・ビスキット等のカタログ中にあるユニバーサル所属アーティストの音源をダウンロード用に提供できることを期待する）ということです。これまで、権利関係の問題でストリームやダウンロード販売の障害になっていた音源がザクザク出てくるといいですね。

　過去のロックの遺産を商売のために利用しているなどとミュージシャン側からの批判もある Wolfgang’s Vault ですが、少なくともメジャーのレコード会社も無視できない存在になったということでしょうか。まあ、生ぬるく？期待することにします。
